The Unique Round Filter Solution
The Filcon Round filter system is unique because the design of the filter is based on the natural flow of air inside a cylinder. Using gravity, dust and sorbent will be removed automatically at the bottom of the filter during operation.
Airstream
In order for a filter to operate on an optimal basis, it is necessary to have a well-defined air flow into the filter. Our technicians have developed several technical solutions in order to achieve the best air flow – one of these is to design the reactor with special guiding sections, which will even – out flow (see principle below), while ensuring an optimal mix of active coal and lime or bicarbonate. This design will minimize the consumption of secondary waste and this as well as the operating expenses.

Hot Flue Gas Cleaning
To clean hot flue gas produced by thermal treatment, combustion and gasification, the temperature of the flue gas must be reduced. The Filcon Engineering team can recommend various cooling solutions which work by allowing the flue gas to pass through a heat exchanger system. This can be a wet solution using cooling equipment or a dry heat exchanger using air to water (boiler) or air to air heat exchanger solutions. Filcon will recommend the most optimal design based on the actual project, product and emission requirements as well as customer preferences. And a complete turnkey solution will be implement¬ed when delivering equipment from Filcon.
